Attendance Requirements

Students are required to have 75% attendance and zero unexcused absences

Students will attend seminary consistently (with no unexcused absences for released-time seminary). Attending seminary blesses students in their efforts to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.

How do I excuse absences?

         1. Parents Log into myseminary and update your child’s attendance

OR

  •    2. Send an email to your child’s seminary teacher or the seminary front office

Reading Requirements

Students will read specific scripture passages each term

The new required reading includes roughly 60 pages from the book of scripture. These pages have been carefully selected because of their doctrinal depth and richness. Additionally, students are encouraged to set and self-monitor personal scripture study goals. Examples of personal goals could include reading the assigned Come, Follow Me chapters, as well as reading passages in the Book of Mormon. Teachers encourage students to keep this goal and change it as necessary.

Learning Assessment

Students will take part in a group learning assessment

Seminary students will work together to complete learning assessments to engage in a collaborative and edifying experience. Seminary students will need to participate in an assessment each semester to receive credit. If students miss the group learning assessment, they can take the learning assessment on their own or with others. Students can also take the learning assessment with their teacher.

Seminary Graduation

A Seminary Graduation Diploma is awarded at the end of the fourth year of seminary when a student has:
Completed eight semesters of seminary with credit

A seminary Certificate of Completion is awarded each semester or year when a student has:
